My latest projectsI want to help the people of Romania build a centre for amputees. I want others to Share my joy. I was adopted from Romania in 1994, although I first came to England in 1993 for the amputation of my twisted leg. Because I would need artificial legs fitted until I am fully grown, so I stayed in England. I wear a fully functional artificial leg, and that is what I want to offer to the people of my own country, Romania. I am proud of my roots, and that is why I want to help. I have done fund raising events before, but nothing on the scale of what I want to do this time. I only know of 1 or 2 places in Romania which supply artificial limbs to people, but these are not very good quality. I have been privileged and want other people to benefit especially in my home country of Romania. This is only one thing that I do in my busy, everyday life. I go to Blessed Edward High School in Worcester. I play the drums, play football, play snooker, go swimming and just chill out with my friends. I am planning to take time out of these activities (sadly not school!) to raise money for the limb centre. The bank balance at the moment is just over £5500 but this total needs to be a lot higher, as this project is very expensive. That is why we need your help. Please donate to this valuable cause, as so many people are in Romania without arms or legs. I know I am blessed to have had such an opportunity in England, but I am also glad to have stayed in touch with my Romanian parents, and my roots. |
If you would like to donate to my charity, sent cheques to 'The Cornel Romanian Rehabilitation Centre Trust' Registered Charity No. 1107166 Details here |
